Partner pension - what if you’re single?

If you don't have a partner, but you have built up a partner pension, what will the pension fund do with that pension when you retire? Do you need to take action to add it to your own pension?

No, you don’t need to take action to convert your partner pension into old age pension for yourself. ING CDC Pensioenfonds will automatically do that on your behalf. When you retire, they will send you a summary of the gross and net amounts you will be receiving.

What you should know
At ING CDC Pensioenfonds, your partner is only entitled to receiving partner pension if your marriage, registered partnership or cohabitation started before the date of your retirement. In addition, your live-in partner needs to be registered with the pension fund to qualify for partner pension.

For more information on what the pension fund does on your behalf when you are close to retirement, visit the website and read the information specifically for your age group.
