Your pension is more than just income for later in life. It also provides your partner and children with surviving dependants’ pension in the event of your passing away. At the 3-day event ‘Pensioen3daagse’ on 5, 6 and 7 November, ING’s pension funds organised workshops.

ING employees attending the workshops ‘Take good care of each other’, learned the ins and outs of the pension plan and pension benefits, and what they can do if their surviving dependants’ pension is not adequate.

Lifetime and temporary partner pension
Did you know that ING CDC Pensioenfonds not only provides a lifetime partner pension, but since this year also pays out temporary partner benefits? If your partner is younger than 65 when you pass away, he/she might qualify for benefits under the Surviving Dependants Benefits Act (ANW). For example, if your partner is raising children who are younger than 18. More information is available on the website of the Social Insurance Bank (SVB).

What if it isn’t enough?
Do you know how much your children and partner will receive if you pass away and whether that will be enough? Have you ever considered taking out ANW gap insurance? Would it help to save for the future or invest your money?
